So now I’m finally back home for the summer. Going to try and get a job or some volunteer work that I can do over the summer. Still it’s going to be fun. It’s nice to be back for summer vacation. Quieter than being in residence for sure. Nice to be back as well. Nice to see my doggie and my mom again for sure.

To have a roommate or not to have a roommate
I’ve only had a roommate one year of college and it’s pretty fun to have a room all to yourself. It’s easier to find stuff and get around when yoou don’t have to worry about other people’s stuff. Though having people talking in the hallways or being loud in their rooms means that you don’t feel too alone (even though sometimes I just want to ask them kindly to be quiet). Though I can just hide in my room if I don’t feel up to socializing. Having a roommate in some ways is also fun because you have someone who becomes a good friend with you. So there are pros and cons.
The need for (no) light
One thing I’ve gotten used to being visually impaired is not having lights on. Sometimes I’ll go around in the dark and do things because I know where things are and I don’t have to see everything to understand it. I’ll also feel around for things instead of looking, but that’s a different thing all together. I’ll sometimes go around the house with no lights on. I mean who needs light when you know where everything is? Of course if people move things around that can be a problem, but hey, that’s part of the fun!
